May 1-2, 2021 Redding, California: Think we are feeling better about making it
to our first stop and arriving with most of our “wits about us”. Despite some
worrisome moments over our oil leak all appears to be ok. Our camp for the 1st 3
nights was the Redding Elks, a nice facility and lodge. We felt good about most
everything working as we remembered. We enjoyed some rest and relaxation, some
driving around the Redding Area and a Sunday morning visit to Turtle Bay
Exploration Park. Featured there was a display of art made of Ocean Plastic
Trash created by a beach cleanup organization started in Bandon Oregon. We
walked across the Sacramento River on the Sun Dial Bridge and enjoyed a
beautiful day. We finished our last evening in Redding at the Final Draft Brew
Pub. This was a nice way to spend an evening - comfortable patio, good food,
drink and atmosphere. Enjoying ourselves we decided to see if we could make this
our challenge for the 2021 Motor Home Season. Is it possible to visit 100
different Brew Pubs across the country? Maybe a bit ambitious? Any of our family
and friends who want help us reach the goal can submit their brewpub visits to
the list.
